I know it’s been a long time since I posted, but real life got very busy.
I just wanted to mention that I am currently taking the Heat Wave Class over on OnlineCardClasses; I recommend it if you want to want to learn how to really use your embossing powders the best way possible.
My mother had some friends over for lunch today and I decided to create some table placeholders with my Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder and some Simon Says Stamps.
I also used what I’ve learned with the Brush Letter Practice Guide* from Random Olive. I always admired the brush lettering I saw on Instagram and now… I feel capable of at least try to do something and I’m not even done with the Guide yet! 🙂
I hope you like it and I promise I’ll be back soon!

If you read my blog, you know I’m a huge fan of Jennifer McGuire. She just launched the first week challenge where the only thing you need to do to participate is to do something HANDMADE for family or friends: cookies, a card, a cake, a bag… anything that is handmade and come from the heart.
I always try to send cards out to thank friends and family or just to let them know I’m thinking about them so I’m really happy about this challenge.
For the card I’m giving to my Mother I’ve used a stamp set from La Vida en Scrap called “Pasan las Horas” and I’ve created the background with the little acorn embossing it with white fine detail powder. Then I’ve used some of my Neocolor II for the background; I’ve used Autumn colors like brown, orange and red. For the sentiment I’ve stamp “eres especial” from a stamp set from La Pareja Creativa using the same embossing powder as before.
I hope you like it and I encourage you to join the challenge.
Have a great weekend!
I’m down with the flu and my voice is almost gone but I wanted to share a card with you this week.
I’ve used a stamp from Create a Smile that I bought this summer because I fell absolutely in love with it. I wanted to make a card using a rainbow color so I took my Mama Elephant pigment inks. I’ve done one ink at a time. Once I had all the image stamped, I’ve embossed it with Ranger Clear Super Fine Detail powder.
I’ve stamp the sentiment from an Alley Way stamp set in a blue piece of cardstock and embossed it with Ranger Pink powder.
And now for the big finish… I’ve used the Quinn’s ABC dies from Lawn Fawn on white cardstock 4 times.
Then, using toner paper, I have added foil with my laminator. Once I had that pice of paper with blue foil, I’ve cut the letters for the word “color” one last time.
And once I had everything, I simply put it all together.
I see now that you can’t really appreciate the foil but I will try and take another picture on Sunday and I will post it on my instagram so you can see it better, maybe an instagram video?!
Hope you like it!
First of all, I’m sorry to say that my MacBook Pro decided the last 2 videos I had recorded on my camera were not good enough for it so I couldn’t transfer them, but…
I have pictures!
The first card, I did with a foiling technique. I used watercolors and produced a red background that I scanned. After that, I printed a free digital stamp from Winnie & Walter (here) with my brand new toner printer. I took some gold DecoFoil from Thermoweb and used my laminator on it.
When it comes out, you end up with a beautiful background as you can see. I died cut the word “adorable” from black cardstock I had put Stick-It on with a Metaliks die and then made a small banner. I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder.
On the second card, I used a technique shown in the last Online Card Classes: Background Check by Debbie Hughes. I made my own diffusers for the embossing folders. It’s definitely something that I will do again. I used the Honeycomb embossing folder from Tim Holtz.
I stamped two images from the Circle Friends stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and colored the bee with Copic. Then I just glued some gold sequins using Ranger Multi Medium Matte.
Hope you liked them and I’ll be back next week!
I hope you like today’s card. I’ve used a background stamp from My Favorite Things with red foil.
See you next week!
The two cards I will be sharing this week were made with friends on my mind.
Today’s card is dedicated to a friend of mine who helped me out last week with some work problem that could have become a nightmare, she made it easy and for that, she deserved a card!
I hope you like it and I will see you with a new card on Thursday.
Today I have a card that I will be able to send to either a Spanish or an English friend… ADORABLE is the perfect word.
I used 5 different colors of embossing powder on vellum and I really like how it looks, I hope you do too!
And remember: you can subscribe to my blog, to my youtube channel or you can find me on instagram.
Have a great weekend and see you on Monday!
