I know it’s been a long time since I posted, but real life got very busy.
I just wanted to mention that I am currently taking the Heat Wave Class over on OnlineCardClasses; I recommend it if you want to want to learn how to really use your embossing powders the best way possible.
My mother had some friends over for lunch today and I decided to create some table placeholders with my Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder and some Simon Says Stamps.
I also used what I’ve learned with the Brush Letter Practice Guide* from Random Olive. I always admired the brush lettering I saw on Instagram and now… I feel capable of at least try to do something and I’m not even done with the Guide yet! 🙂
I hope you like it and I promise I’ll be back soon!

After more than 2 months without posting, I’m bringing you a happy birthday card I made for one of my best friends using a Mama Elephant stamp set and coloring with my Copics.
As always, whenever I’m going to color with my Copics, I’ve stamped the Lunar Animals from ME with MFT Hybrid ink.
I colored using 3 different Copic combos for each animal and once I was done, I went and used my Wink of Stella clear on parts of each animal (dog and cat: ears, nose and tail; money: face and tail).
Then, using my stitched rectangles from SSS, I’ve cut a piece of black cardstock where I’ve embossed the Happy birthday with Versamark and using the White Super Fine Detail Embossing Power (now that’s a long name) from Ranger and attached it to some vellum.
To finish the card, I’ve added some gold, silver and copper sequins.
I hope you like it and I’ll see you soon!
I’m sorry to say that The Alley Way Stamps are closing their store.
They have some amazing stamps and I have more than a few in my collection. She offers a 40% on all stock so go and enjoy it!
I hope all works out for the very talented Alison Spelman and we get to see some of her designs soon, even if it’s somewhere else.
If you read my blog, you know I’m a huge fan of Jennifer McGuire. She just launched the first week challenge where the only thing you need to do to participate is to do something HANDMADE for family or friends: cookies, a card, a cake, a bag… anything that is handmade and come from the heart.
I always try to send cards out to thank friends and family or just to let them know I’m thinking about them so I’m really happy about this challenge.
For the card I’m giving to my Mother I’ve used a stamp set from La Vida en Scrap called “Pasan las Horas” and I’ve created the background with the little acorn embossing it with white fine detail powder. Then I’ve used some of my Neocolor II for the background; I’ve used Autumn colors like brown, orange and red. For the sentiment I’ve stamp “eres especial” from a stamp set from La Pareja Creativa using the same embossing powder as before.
I hope you like it and I encourage you to join the challenge.
Have a great weekend!
Just a quick post to let you know about how Creativa Barcelona 2015 has been for me.
I have to say that I always go to Creativa hoping to find new stamps and stores from out of Barcelona and this year, I’m sad to say, I think there weren’t many.
BUT! there where a couple of very nice stores where I found sentiment stamps in Spanish. And I was given, as well as my sisters and our Mother, a pink bracelet that says: “mi color favorito: scrap” (my favorite color: scrap) and I’m loving it! The nice woman who gift it to us was the owner of ScrapShu, a store located in Barcelona.
Also, the brands for the stamps in Spanish are Cocoloko, La Vida en Scrap and Gigetmoi.
I’m already doing a card using one of the stamp sets I bought… waiting for the masking liquid to dry so I can start watercoloring.
One last little thing more… the Crazy Birds thinlits are mine! I finally decided to buy them today while in Creativa and I can’t wait to start using them.
Hello to everybody!
I know I haven’t posted anything for some time, I apologize. Real life got in the way.
But I’ve been very productive and I’ve done a lot of cards, not a lot of videos though. I’ll be posting them on the blog with pictures.
But for today… a Halloween card!
For the background, I’ve used a stamp from Prima that I stamped with Versamark and then embossed with Gold Princess from Ranger.
After coloring a couple of the images from the Mama Elephant stamp set Bootastic with Copic I’ve added some dimension with the bats and spider.
I’ve used the Grassy border from Lawn Fawn to create the space where I’ve embossed the sentiment with Gold Princess from Ranger too.
Hope you have a nice Halloween!
My voice is still not completely back so the video is subtitled again, sorry!
I’m currently in the middle of another card that I will try and post as soon as I can, hopefully Thursday.
Also, a couple of weeks ago I bought a stamp set and its coordinating dies from The Ton and I can’t wait to use it so you might get more than 1 video this week.
Hope you liked the card and I’ll “see” you soon!
